First Steps Nex 24
Monday & Tuesday – Day 1 & 2
Goals
During the first two days, my main objective was to complete all onboarding tasks and get fully set up in the Swisscom environment.
I received my official Swisscom employee badge, which now gives me access to the building and all relevant areas. I also set up my work laptop according to the given instructions, connected it to the network, and installed all necessary software.
Next, I linked my smartphone to the company's enterprise portal, which allows me to securely access company apps, emails, and Microsoft Teams. After testing everything, I confirmed that I am reachable both via Teams and by mobile phone.
I then created my personal FirstSteps Notebook using the provided template and added first notes about the onboarding sessions, important contacts, and useful resources. I also read, understood, and signed the ICT Policy, ensuring that I follow Swisscom's rules for responsible IT use. Finally, I received a professional photo that i later on used as my profile picture on the Intranet.
